two totally different technologies. iphone is only gonna work with at&t or t-mobile (or any company that uses gsm technology) and not verizon simply because they dont issue sim cards. but to answer your question, get an at&t prepaid sim and once you activate it, get one of the data bundles the offer. im not sure how much the offer and th price of them, but they cant be too bad.

    Thanks for moving it.
But my iPhone is unlocked. Are you sure I can't use Verizon?

    Hey guys,

    I have a unlocked iPhone 2G with OS 3.0.1.

I'm leaving for the US for a couple of weeks and naturally need a SIM card. I don't need it for phone calls (well, not primarily, but in case I do need to call someone) but rather for EDGE/2G-internet connections. I, obviously, don't want to sign on for a contract or some 2-year plan so I think a "PrePaid"-SIM would be the best.

The problem is that I'm not familiar with the market and conditions/reputations of the carriers there etc. Where can I get such a prepaid SIM-card? One that has EDGE (or at least GPRS) and doesn't charge like $10 per MB?
Oh, and it should work with my iPhone of course

When I was in NYC two years ago I remembered walking into a Verizon and AT&T-store and asking for a prepaid-card but they said they don't have that!?

Any pointers or help would be appreciated! Thank you.
