I've stumbled across some sites with guides for dismantling samsung phones, however none of them seem to have guides for my specific model (e747) if I'm very careful it should be fine though right? I'm a little apprehensive to take it apart seeing as it is still able to send/receive calls.

Wow - that fall sounds like it sucked! Hope you are okay as well.

You'll probably have to take the phone apart to get the rail back in line. Unfortunately I don't know exactly how to do that, but it more than likely involves taking some torex screw out and popping some covers off.

I'll make a long story short. In an unfortunate turn of events yesterday both myself and my cellphone endured a 12 foot drop on to solid concrete. I was amazed after I put the battery back in that my phone turned on, and was fully functional. I was able to call someone and get assistance, which was incredible, I'm very happy with my phone!

While it is fully functional, there is one slight problem: the left side of the slide mechanism appears to be derailed. There appears to be a small gap between the two pieces of the phone, and I can see the metal piece that should be inserted in the track mechanism. The right side is operating properly. It's not a big deal, it just makes the phone look awkward, and makes sliding it open all the way, or closed all the way difficult.

Is there any way I can reattach the slider on the rail? When the phone is slid half open it appears as though it may be able to reconnect, but I haven't been successful with it. If pictures would help I'd be more than happy to provide them.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this I'm amazed my phone even survived the drop, it landed face down without a crack to the screen.
