In no time, you may come across some interesting videos on YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Google Video, and other popular free video sharing site. You may enjoy the videos more or less, and sometimes, just sometimes, you come across a video you really need to have on your hard drive or portable playback terminals, and to watch over and over again, every time you feel the need.

All these videos are encoded in the format of FLV, Flash video. FLV is a proprietary file format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe Flash Player (formerly known as Macromedia Flash Player) version 6, 7, 8, or 9. Flash Video content may also be embedded within or linked to SWF files. Notable users of the Flash Video format include YouTube, Google Video, Reuters.com, Yahoo! Video and MySpace. The BBC has recently begun using .flv based media on their news portal.

FLV Flash Video is viewable on most operating systems, Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, etc, via the widely available Adobe Flash Player and the web browser plugin, or one of several third-party programs such as MPlayer, Moyea FLV Player or any player which uses DirectShow filters (such as Media Player Classic and Windows Media Center) when the ffdshow filter is installed.

Unfortunately, YouTube seems to discourage its users from downloading the videos. This can get rather annoying because you'll need to save a bookmark with the video URL, load it in your browser every time you want to re-watch it, wait until it's loaded and so on.

FLV to Video Converter Pro, all these troubles are saved, The FLV to Video Converter Pro, along with the FLV Downloader, offers one-stop solution to download and watch FLV movies on your portable devices, wherever you go and whenever you feel the need. You can easily download the file in Flash Video format (FLV), convert it into AVI, MPEG, MP4, MOV, WMV, 3GP and watch it on your PC or even on your mobile phone.

Besides this, this program offers brilliant solutions to convert FLV files of all types to MP3 audio, WMA, AAC, as well as DV. What you need to do is to launch the program, start the FLV Downloader, import the downloaded FLV, configurate the output settings, and convert.

    Note:
When you find your favorite FLV Flash video files on YouTube and want to copy it offline, this tutorial may be of great help to you. But first make sure that the FLV file is playing online.
