if you're using the default mail client it's just like outlook express you're not "logged in" so much as new emails are being pushed to you via pop/imap etc, so, uhh, long story short the only way to stop that is either to turn off push updates for mail under settings or remove your credentials from the mail app.

I'm using Gmail that way and I don't really see a place to 'sign out' - maybe it's different?

    Hello,

New to iphone. I've set up my yahoo email on the iphone. My question is, how do I sign out of my yahoo account. Currently when i tap on the Mail key on my iphone's main menu, that takes me right to my 'live' yahoo account. How do I sign out of that? thanks
