TAKE A SMALL PIN (like a needle) AND STICK IT IN THE PART WHERE YOU CHARGE YOUR PHONE. THERE WILL BE THIS SMALL BUTTON (USUALLY ON THE LEFT SIDE) INSIDE THE CHARGER PORT. I MEAN SMALL. TAKE THE NEEDLE AND PUSH THAT LITTLE AREA. IT WILL WORK ONCE YOU PUSH THAT THING.

Car kit mode only comes on when certain pins in the charging port are crossed. This happens in one of two ways; a- the phone is plugged into a car kit device or b- the phone gets wet and corrosion builds up on the pins. Now, understand that by "gets wet" I do not mean it was dunked in a bucket of water or taken swimming. Actually, it takes very little water to damage a phone. Simply using the phone in a light mist of rain is sometimes enough to do it.

okay, i read lots of messages about "how to turn of the car kit mode" i tried everything.... im hoping i would get some answers here.... anways... i never dropped my phone or dropped it into a lake, water, ocean, swimming...etc... it was fine till now but all of sudden it just came on today.... i tried shutting off the phone and turning it back on, press * for a minute, umm reset the phone, using differnt chargers, you name it and i probably did it ..... any ideas how i can fix it? thanks!!!
