    Hi, Catherine. Thanks for your effort. To be honest though, those look kinda ugly to me and way too many features.

    I decided to buy the Nokia 2700. Cheap, basic, sim free and also a global phone.

    Also wtf i cant post links? Oh well.. im done here anyway.

    Thanks Edola! That looks very interesting. Battery talk time isnt great but in standby it lasts forever. I will have a look if I can find this one here in Australia.

    Please forgive my ignorance if im posting in the wrong section. I just need some guidance information on mobile phones for I have been living in a hole

    This is what i need.

    I care about:
    SIM free
    global connection (quad band?)
    long battery life
    easy to use menu's
    small design / light weight
    low budget if possible
    reliable and robust

    I dont care about:
    mp3 player
    pda functions

    Can anyone point me in the right direction? Ta!
