Tried to fix it all night, no luck

took it to metro...no luck..they gave me a $30 credit towards a new phone, and they were still able to get all my numbers out...so its all good...got a Kyocera Melo for 40 bux brand new...weeee

Hey guys..I am new to here, found this 5 minutes ago, because I am in need of some help with my phone...check this out


I have a Kyocera S4000, yea yea I know, but it was free to me, and I dont pay the monthly bill....anyway

I have been using this phone for over a year now, maybe 1 year and 3 months, it has always been fine, dropped a few times, but never hard drops, like maybe the kitchen, or on carpet, once outside, but they were not hard drops...anyway its been working fine even with the drops..never got wet...never mis-used.. recently..it would freeze maybe once a week while sitting on the main screen but hey, its always on, it never rests, so it didnt bother me, well...tonight it froze, so im like ok no biggie..take the battery out...reboot it...no big deal....well..it is a big deal......now.....everytime i turn it on...it turns on..the signal bar pops up, it goes from searching .. to 3 dots, then freezes...and the cellphone signal symbol has a line thru it because the fone freezes before the phone can even register its connected...

ive taken the battery out and started it about 40 times give or take, alot more then I should of...I put the phone in the fridge for 5 minutes, cus cooling it down can always help..speed cooling anyway..also having the battery out for a while does a soft reset....soo....I take it out..put it in..start it up..and the same thing....once it freezes..its froze...i cant do anything but take the battery out and try again...no suceess...I cant even get my numbers out... this is bs

Anyone have any information? or what is going on? it was just working FINE...i was texting..and it froze in the middle of a text and now it freezes on every start up as soon as it gets to the main screen...

my next question is

if i take it to metro, is there a way for them to hook it up to their machine and somehow clear it? or do a hard reset? AFTER getting my numbers out?

OR

since it wont unfreeze....it most likely wont respond to the machine?

any insight PLEASE?
