    Here is one way I found. After bringing up a map, just tap and hold a point on the map you want to look at until an address or business name pops up in a bubble. Tap in that bubble and you will be taken to a menu. The 4th option down is Street View, right underneath Navigate. You can do the same for 'your Location'.

    Not every point you bring up on the map will have a street view. I had one show up where the street view option was grayed out. Hope this is what you were looking for.

    Hmm, hadn't tried that. Will have to play around with it. Doesn't make sense.

    Just using the regular Google map application, you can view layers (traffic, satellite,), but there's no option for street view anywhere.

    has anyone figured out how to get to street view without going through the Navigation app?
