    it depends on how you place the files in the phone. you can leave the system memory free if you place downlads and music ect. on the sd card. think of it as an external hard drive on your computer or even a second hard drive, if you place all your stuff on there instead of the hdd that you have running your OS and the other important things, it doesnt have to work as hard sifting through all the other junk and that allows it to be more responsive and efficient.

    I have not found this question asked,So maybe you have the answer. I know that most smart phones. Have a built in memory and extended memory. Does the extended memory help with the functionality of the phone? or is it just storage?
