Synaptics has teamed up with Texas Instruments, Immersion, TheAlloy and The Astonishing Tribe to announce a new touchscreen mobile phone concept called Fuse.

The Synaptics Fuse integrates multiple interface technologies such as: haptic feedback, multi-touch, 3D graphics, and “force, grip, and proximity sensing.”

Not only does the Fuse have touch sensitivity to the front of the display, but it also touch sensors on the sides as well that allows you to pan and scroll and it also has 2D navigation on the back touch panel.

The technologies used on the Fuse are the: Synaptics’ ClearPad, TouchButtons and NavPoint technologies and uses the Texas Instruments OMAP 3630 processor that allows you to use two-finger input and high-resolution finger input.

The Fuse will appear at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas where Synaptics will demonstrate it and will also appear at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona.
