The screen currently only works when it's plugged into the charger (anyone ever heard of that happening?). I'm on Verizon at the moment.

I really love photography, but I don't really want to buy a dedicated point and shoot (I'm going to save for a DSLR), so having a good camera/phone all in one is what I'm aiming for. I like being able to take pictures on the go without any added hassle.

I don't like flip phones, and I guess I'd prefer a slimmer phone if possible. I've looked at the DROID (it's bulky, and the keyboard/camera aren't that great), and the Eris (kinda better, but I'm kinda bummed about the required $30/month service plan for smart phones). I can't get anything super expensive.

I've looked at reviews for some other phones, but everything seems so....crappy.

    HELP!!

    Thanks,

Seems you have Champagne taste with Beer pockets... lol

If the photos your going to take are for computer/internet purposes, and/or for printing up to a 5X8 size photos, you really only need a 2-2.5 MP camera. An increase of mega pixels only come into play when your going to print very large photos, more pixels are needed to keep clarity in very large photos... 4mp camera and up.

A 3X5 photo taken with a 3mp camera is no different than a 3X5 photo taken with a 8mp camera. A 2-3 mega pixel phone camera is perfect for the average person using a camera phone.

A camera with a 2-3 mega pixel camera isn't expensive and wouldn't require a data plan. A 2-3 mega pixel camera probably cost under a $100.

Do you specifically need a phone for Verizon? (if so I'll move to the Verizon forum)
