Thanks so much. This was extremely helpful. I went to Verizon and AT&T today, but I had never considered Sprint. Once I called them, they confirmed I could get exactly what I wanted on their Trio Pro phone. I am looking forward to checking it out.

I'm thinking about just buying an iTouch and taping it to the back of a basic phone so I can get what I want. Does anyone know of a better way to get all those services on one device without paying the data fee? If so, are there particular phones I should consider? I am in Atlanta if that makes a difference on what major carriers are available.

Well if you go with Sprints family talk / text program your looking at about 1500 min. unlimited text but no data $130.00 mo. Get a phone that has wireless internet connection no data needed.

    OR

GO with Sprints family data everything plan 1500 min. unlimited data & text for about $190.00 mo. and everyones hooked up and your choice of phones is excellent!

    Sprint - Define Region

    Hope this helps!

Hi--I am finally in the market for a cellphone plan because it's time for my three children to get cellphones. My husband and I both currently have pay-as-you-go plans (Trumpet Mobile and Virgin) that we use mostly as mobile payphones, only calling out. I'm sure our usage will change once our kids have phones and once we're not paying per minute, so I think we are going to have to go with a contract.
