Thank you so much. It did work. After a few attempts. I keep leaving out a c in Comcast but once that was taken care of, I was sign on and received my first test email.

went to comcast.net did the ask a question typed in cellphone and heres what i found:

You can access your Comcast.net email (SmartZone) on your mobile device (i.e. iPhone, Blackberry, all.)

To setup the email client on your mobile device to retrieve your Comcast.net email, use the following settings:

    Incoming Mail
    Incoming mail (POP3) server: mail.comcast.net
    port: 995
    set SSL to Yes

    Outgoing Mail
    Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.comcast.net
port: 25 (or the more secure port 587, which requires authentication)

Just wanted to thank fierymomof2! I just signed up with Sprint and bought the new LG Lotus Elite and wasn't sure how to setup another account. My main email is through comcast and I used the exact settings fierymomof2 listed and it worked! Thanks soooo much!!!

I'm having the same issue w/my new phone. Did you ever get your comcast acct setup on your phone?

Hi, I work for Comcast. The incoming (POP3) server is mail.comcast.net, and the outgoing (SMTP) mail server is smtp.comcast.net Make sure you set your server port numbers to 587 for outgoing and 110 for incoming, as port 25 is now blocked by Comcast due to spam.
    Hope this helps.

Either go on the internet and get those settings from your inbox, or call Comcast and get the settings.

If you can't find them, set up a gmail account and forward your comcast emails to the gmail account.

    Problem solved.
