In case anyone is interested when registering online at the Samsung site, When it says serial # put the IMEI # instead without the forward slashes. Also call Samsung to get the Model code since I could not find it inside the phone or on the box.

I am unable register my new Samsung SGH-a177 phone since I can not find the Model code.
I have the Model name and serial number that is found on the back of the phone behind the battery compartment. This info is not on the box as well.
