Not knowing what 'your place' actually is, I dunno. But I'm at something of a loss to explain why it wouldn't work. It works fine for me here in Vermont, and that's about as far off the beaten path as you can get in the northeast US.

I know that iPhone has cool features. I noticed one of its application was about maps with GPS. Here in my place, people doesn't normally use some GPS. Can I asilty use this application? Because I'm not really familiar with this kind of feature. I hope you can help me out guys.
