What ringtone are you trying to get onto your iPhone? What audio format is it in?

If it's already in iPhone ringtone format, (.m4r), just double-click on it. iTunes will play it, and add it to your ringtones folder. Sync your iPhone with iTunes, and you're done.

If it's in iPhone audio format (.m4a), rename it to change the file extension to .m4r. Then follow the instructions above.

If it's in .mp3 or some other format, the easiest, least technical way to go about it is to use iRinger. You can get that program free from iringer.net.
