Is the Nokia N900 successor due any time soon? If I buy a N900 now will I regret not waiting for the new version?

By the way, is it true you can't dial USSD code on the N900? I saw a video on YouTube where the phone said "Incorrect Number" or something to that effect when dialing USSD code (like when you are checking your credit).

First of all, is Nokia moving away from Symbian? I've heard rumors that for the high-end Nokia phones (Nseries), Maemo will be the OS. If this is true, then why is the upcoming Nokia N8 coming with Symbian^3?

Other than that, I am considering the Nokia N900. My question is, should I wait for the Nokia N8 before making my decision? Here are some advantages I see that the Nokia N8 might have over the Nokia N900:

    1. Multi-touch capabilities
    2. 12 megapixel camera
    3. Can record videos in HD (720p)

I know I am missing some more, but I'll add them as I remember them.

One last question. Which OS do you think is superior? Symbian or Maemo?
