not for everyone it isn't. if it isn't and you need it, try this. get yourself a copy of a program called CDMA Workshop. connect your phone to your computer then set the COM port in Workshop to the one your phone and computer are talking on . . . it'll be called something like "LG Serial Port". click "connect".

once you're up, go to the "security" tab and set SPC/User Lock to LG and click "read". the 6-digit number that appears in the box is your phone's master subsidy lock code . . . also called its service code

alright to start off u can have ur phone unlocked or locked doesnt matter type in the numbers ##3282# a new menu will appear lick on advanced click on view click on lockcode and BAM there it is

hey i just wanted to know if anyone knew how to unlock a lg rumor i had it flashed to metropcs and i changed the password from my last 4 digits can anyone help me.....i just need to unlock it so i can use my phone again!!!!! or you can just tell me how to reset it...
