If you are a Windows Mobile user, then it will become an easy job. The software ---- Pocket Call Blocker can help you

to block unwanted calls and sms. Then you won't be disturbed by the unknown person.

Maybe you can have a look at : How to block incoming calls – Pocket Call Blocker for Windows Mobile

    Hope help~

Check your phone settings, phone, call screening features. If it has no features like this, Try to subscribe online VoIP that uses web user interface account (UI) like RingCentral offered. then, add your number as an extension. Every time you received a call, it will be log to your call log system, then call them back again to verify and tell them to stop. If no one answer, you can simply block that number by marking as "blocked" then, you will never ever received a call from that number. Also, you can configured several features using internet via your account panel.

DNC will not help. A company Fido contacted for marketing called me for over two months after I registered for DNC. They finally stopped, but it took a long time.

Hi I do feel bad about you're problem with annoying calls. I just thought you should now that Fido Solutions coporates fully with the CRTC. If you contact a fido rep @ 611 or goto CRTC's website you can register you're Fido Number to the NATION DO NOT CALL LIST. After one week it would be illegal for any Outbound MArketing to contact you, even in Canada. Simplest solution just give us a call. Hope to hear from you haha!

As soon as I say hello, the call ends and if I try to redial, it cuts directly to a dialtone. Some of the numbers have been listed on other sites as masked number (i.e. 604-629-2009), but there is no one on the other end, so its not from Skype or vonage.

Does anyone know if there's a way for me to block these numbers form my phone? My cell is my only phone and I don't like having to leave it on silent all the time as I miss a lot of calls. I talked to Fido customer service but they say all they can do is change my number for a 25$ fee. The graciously offered to wave this fee if I can get a police report, but that seems like such a waste of time to take to the cops.

Any thoughts on how I can make this stop would be much appreciated.
It depends on how the caller is contacting you, wether it be VoIP, land line or wireless device, in my years working in call centers auto dialers are the worst for random calls and hang-ups and they're running off of servers that are on 24-7.. unfortunatly fido cannot tell you the telephone numbers for incoming calls to your cell phone.. alot of small time companies in the USA are buying SQL servers from Florida and they have no IT skills. Also for them to get a Canadian phone number is best for the business because of Canadian Marketing Standards... It sucks but if there are no laws stating that cell phone companies must have records of incoming phone numbers you will never be able to stop it.. the only other thing i can say is to do a Call forward to another phone number and you can get 2500 minutes of call forwarding minutes for $3, this will make it so it doesn't always come into your cell.
