    If you grab it quick enough, you may be able to save it by turning it off and putting it in a bag/bowl of white rice for a day or two. I dropped my phone in what i thought was an empty cupholder, but was actually an open cup of water for about 10 seconds before i realized what it actually was in. at one point before i turned it off when i received calls the ringtone would fade in and out. after putting it in rice, worked like a charm; for some reason i don't think it even activated the water sticker

    Phones going swimming (as I call it ) is probably the biggest reason people need to get a new phone.

    One way to save a drowned phone is;

    1. Remove the battery ASAP!
    2. Do not turn it back on untill it is completly dried out!
    3. Get a jar full of rice or some of those do not eat moisture packets you get with some products and bury the phone in it with the battery and cover removed for at least 24 hours.

    If you get it dry before trying to fire it back up there is abot a 70% chance it will be fine!
