I picture myself going for a run with my iPhone, my "rythm" picking up, and my iPhone calling the police on me. I guess it's just another reason to stay on the couch!

Apple has come up with a unique idea that has turned into a patent that will allow your iPhone to identify you, just by picking up your phone and holding it. It's not the first time that biometric have been added to sensors to identify oneself and it surely will not be the last but Apple has come up with an idea that will allow iPhone users to be identified.

Apple wants to embed cardiac sensors into an iPhone case that will be able to monitor your heart rhythm and recognize the person holding the iPhone. Although this is a great idea and there is no other requirements such as passwords or fingerprints, just a heart rhythm, this idea is still in the patent stage which will depend a lot on the availability of enough sensors and software processing.
