the only Nextel phones that you can bring to Boost mobile are the phones that are walkie talkie capable.

YES YOU CAN!!!!! I have the HTC TOUCH PRO , currently using it with boost mobile on their CDMA network, all you have to do is have boots mobile reprogram the htc for you. they only asked me for the HEX number on the back of the phone and they follow me through the steps on how to reprogram it for my phone number. be aware that some reps will not even try to help you on this, you just have to get a cool one thats willing to help. if one does not help you , try another rep. so far the internet, phone and text messages work just fine on the pay as you go plan, didnt have to do any other modifications to my phone whatsoever.

forgot to mention that for the internet to work , you may have to got to your "settings" page, under "system " hit UPDATE PROFILE as well as UPDATE PRL....... this worked for me, hope this information works.

I am a little confused. Do these directions already assume that the HTC is already flashed for Boost or is flashing not necessary?

Since last time I checked, the Sprint website workaround no longer works. What I did was get a used HTC Touch Pro2 on Craigslist(Make sure it's not stolen/bad ESN by meeting seller at a Sprint store and having them check it), and after trying the website I called Boost Mobile's customer service. At first I just gave them the ESN when they asked for it and Said it was a Sanyo Mirro if asked. When they looked up the ESN and asked me if it the phone said Boost Mobile on it I told them a friend gave me a Sprint Sanyo Mirro(Don't EVER tell them it's a HTC or anything like that). I said that I heard that it could be activated on their network and I had no money to buy a new Boost Branded phone. This did NOT work the first two times, but third time was a charm. They can activate it if they know how to and want to, but they're not supposed to. I was nice to them and stressed how much I needed that phone to work. Just keep trying, it should eventually work. After they activate it, it works fine in about half an hour, that's it. Hope that helps.

I know a couple of you posted a reply but I find those answer`s coming from someone that has done this a lot..
Is there a more detailed way of doing this..
I am looking to buy one of these phones and use it on Boost so I don`t want to screw it up and waste a bunch of money..
So if there is a link to this or someone would take the time and describe it to a newbe..
    Thanks.

I'm not sure if anyone answered this thoroughly - so I'll complete the answer. It is YES you can - on BOOSTMobile.- but not with a SIM CARD

Boost's network is iDen - therefore their SIMs only work on iDen phones (boost/Nextel).
Boost has new CDMA phone - which means you can flash over a TP2 onto Boost - but it has to be the SPRINT version of the TP2 - not the T-Mobile, Verizon, ATT, etc.

I currently have a TP2 8GBsdc with Boost's Unlimited $50 month plan. No taxes, no extras. My phone works on Sprint's 3G NOW network. Here's what works on my TP2 via Boost: Phone/VM/CallerID, Email (outlook, aim, hotmail, POP3), Text messaging (SMS & MMS) including picutre messaging), Internet (3G & Wifi), Internet sharing/wifi router, GPS (sprint or google), auto Weather/stocks updates, Bluetooth, NFL channel / ESPN via Sprint TV, Netflix, live NBA via Yahoo. The TP2 also offers programs for everything - including business/school with it's windows os. Marketplace downloads are fast and easy - it has a great reader program/books download, adobe, word, excel, SIM manager, MP3 trimmer to customize ringers, MP3 player, camera/video, pic caller id, and microsoft my phone.

As for Canada - I think it should work out there - without roaming charges (boost unlimited doesn't have them - international calling is included). I was in Vancouver BC and my phone worked great. Nevertheless, there is a SIM slot in the phone for Intl Roaming - but has to a GSM Sim card - an iDen (Boost) won't work on this phone.

    So as you can see - it can work and it is well worth it. If you'd like the downloads - message me or send an emale : f i r e j u m p e r d a d e m at aim DOT com l8r
