    Acer has officially announced a new Android handset called the Acer Stream, once known as Acer Liquid Stream. The Acer Stream has Android 2.1 and will be upgradable to Android 2.2 Froyo when the upgrade become available. Acer has announced that the Stream is "the utmost expression of technology, design, performance and entertainment.”

    The Acer Stream measures in at 11.2 mm thick and is constructed out of highly resistant materials that come with the following features:

    * 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display
    * Acer Touch 3D UI
    * Accelerometer
    * Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
    * UPnP
    * GPS
    * Social networking integration (Facebook, Twitter)
    * Nemo multimedia player
    * Dolby Mobile sound
    * Acer UrFooz “to create your virtual look-a-like”
    * Bluetooth
    * HDMI port
    * 5MP camera with HD (720p) video recording
    * 1GHz Snapdragon processor
    * 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM
    * 2GB internal memory
    * 8GB memory card included (supports card sup to 32GB)

    Pricing or availability of the phone has not been announced.
