Samsung does not currently offer a Samsung Galaxy handset that has a QWERTY keyboard but they are not only in the process of readying one called the Galaxy S Pro and now comes another new smartphone that also has a QWERTY keyboard; Samsung Galaxy Q.

According to Korea Times, the Samsung Galaxy Q is also in the works and should hit the US sometime by the end of this year. Not only will the Galaxy Q have a full QWERTY keyboard but will also offer "advanced social media features" and may take on the carrier of AT&T or Verizon.

Samsung wants to surpass HTC and RIM in the smartphones this year and they are planning on shipping 18 million smartphones and to compete with the BlackBerries that are now on the market by offering the Samsung Galaxy Q.

It is still too early for a price to be mentioned on the Galaxy Q and a photo has not been released or leaked on what the Galaxy Q will look like.
