Maybe you can buy an unlock GSM phone with SIM card slot so your phone will work as long as you have a GSM sim from a certain network operator.

i see on amazon and ebay all the time the a phone is $0.01 with a new service contract. does that mean i can buy the phone online and then i have to bring it to the store when i get my contract renewed to have them set it up to the contract or something like that?
please help soon because my contract ends in about A week and i want to know by then that way i dont have 2 go long without a phone.
