    This is not a big issue you can set it your self.You need to go in the setting and in the setting check your keypad setting.

    Wow mamatakeme, your post was so very helpful and informative (NOT).......like I didn't pore over the entire book looking for the right settings. I am not too tired to know how to read.....

    For other users, I did find that if I slide the phone up instead of unlocking the keys every time, this is much easier.

    have a look at the settings category carefully. It is not hard to find it. I think you must be too tired.

    I just got the Samsung SGH a777 today. Every time I want to use it, to make a call, use the camera, anything....I have to hit the "unlock keys" button. Is there a way to disable this feature? I have spent hours looking at the actual phone and the user's manual and I can't find anything.....anybody have any suggestions? It is truly annoying....
