I've been receiving spam text messages from an unknown company... sometimes 6 within a 10 minutes span from the same originator.

My provider tells me that the only thing I can do is not open the text message like that, no read notification is sent back to the sender. I didn't even know that read notification existed for text messages. This raises two questions...

- Can I disable text read notification? (Nokia 1600)

- I pay $0.15 per sent/recieved text messages... does a text read notification consistute as a sent message?

In the end, does it even make sense that disabling the read text notification will reduce the amount of spam I recieve?
