Felt compelled to +1 the sentiment of "fragile" Droid.
I have had several conversations recently with people regarding a drop of less than 1 foot (even onto a table, not the ground) and damaging the screen and/or the casing.
Now I realize folks should be careful with their electronics but some more thought should have been put into the durability of the Droid.

I think droid X is better than htc driod, because it have bigger screen and faster CPU. as you know them decide phone's speed ,so ,I think droid X is more better . but if you don't have enough money, you could buy some cheap phones ,for eg GSM Cell Phones or some nokia phone ,they are very good

I had the droid before i switched to sprint, and it broke a week after i got it with the smallest possible fall.

Thanks John .. I'll take a look at the review section. I'm now not sure if it was the "Incredible" ... It only said "HTC" on the bakc of the phone. It did not have a keyboard but it did have the 4 buttons at the bottom of the phone. (home, menu, et al) ...

    thanks again.

    You mean the Incredible, right?

I've used both and they're both awesome phones. Here's a quick comparison:

Design: Droid Incredible is slightly smaller and about 0.88 oz less. Droid X has actual buttons for home, menu, back and search while the Incredible has touch sensitive buttons and a d-pad

The screens: Droid X is larger (4.3" vs 3.7") but the Incredible uses an AMOLED display (not sure if you can still get one with this display though) which looks better out of sunlight.

The Droid X comes with a 16gb memory card (8gb internal for apps only) while the Incredible comes with a 2gb card (8gb internal - 6.6gb that you can use to store things on)

Processors on both run at the same clock speed (1ghz) and they are both very snappy. I think the Droid X is slightly faster with its OMAP 3630.

You can see my reviews on both in the review section

A friend just got the HTC Droid and I had a chance to play with it.. A very very nice and fast phone. A great web browsing experience and image quality.

Curious how this matches up to the new Motorola Droid X that just came out? I've done some searching for comparisons and can't seem to find anything. Anyone here actually put them to a real side-by-side comparison test? I plan to go to the VZN store to actually play with the new Droid X, but was just curious about more extensive testing done before I commit to 1 over the other.

    Thanks
