    Yeah - I am still under the assumption that is 100% impossible. I just figured I would ask. He swears on his life he's seen it. I won't believe it until I see it myself.

    I'd bet big money that it couldn't be done, like you said. The core technology is different, GSM vs CDMA, and not compatible with each other. It would be like trying to play a DVD in a CD player. I'm interested to see if anyone responds with some technical information on how this could be done.

    If anything someone that jailbroke their iPhone got an app that you can change the carrier symbol on the top, maybe they are going around tricking everyone that they are on Verizon.

    I was talking to my cousin last night and he swears that several of his buddies are using a hacked iphone 3GS on the Verizon network. I told him there was no way in h*%$ its possible. I am in the phone business and if I found a way to hack a iPhone to be used with Verizon I would be rich a hundred times over.

    Can anyone verify that in fact - an GSM Iphone can be hacked in some way to be used on Verizon's CDMA network?
