This is possible with Chinese made duplicates.

I am very curious as to how to change a cell phones IMEI number. I've done some research, but I haven't been able to find the answer that I'm looking for.

Is there a way to change a cell phones IMEI to an old one?

Right now, I am using a Nokia E-71 on ATT that requires a data plan. Prior to getting the Nokia E-71, I was using a Motorola RAZR. I still have the Moto RAZR and was thinking, are there anyways I could change my Nokia E-71 IMEI number to that of my old Moto RAZR.

I'm in love with my E-71, but I really have no need for the data plan. I'm under the assumption that if I change the E-71 IMEI number to that of the Moto RAZR, ATT can recognize the E-71 as a RAZR and I would not have to worry about the data plan they require.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks
