happy to help 0sinner, and as a plus... the price is really awesome compare to other phones like HTC that has the same hardware specification. Its popularity is climbing up at gsmarena.com ...regarding collecting a sim- im not sure really which one is cheaper, to collect a sim or to have an international one... i would assume its cheaper to collect especially if you are going to places around asia...

Hi I suggest you get a LG Optimus One P500. Android 2.2 or iPad or blackberry curve or blackberry bold 9700. They have amazing features. For prepaid cards i don't think it is wise for you to collect and buy Sim cards every time you travel, why not buy a international prepaid Sim card instead to get InTouch with your loved ones?

Sounds about right. I guess I was hoping someone could do #2 for me.

    Thanks, I'll figure it out

    I am aware.

I have seen these stores and all of them have the 'best phones.' I'm not very phone savvy, so I was hoping for some tips on what to look for, what's a rip-off, what's more important, and what's just marketing fluff.

Please post if you have any serious suggestions,

I'm not sure where I should post this. Please move if necessary :S

    Hello CellPhoneForums!

I need your help! I am a Canadian and I am planning to move to Boston, Mass, in December/January. I'm trying to get a phone that will serve my needs now and then.

I have a bias against Apple so I want either an Android or WP7 phone. It MUST be unlocked (as I will be travelling a lot overseas and plan to collect SIM cards with the cheapest plans I can find) so I am ok with paying full price (instead of being locked in).

I will want to be able to surf the net (just check my work's website, email, but video is a nice plus). I do want GPS, and the ability to look up local restaurants or watering holes, but I could not care less about extra apps.

    Any help is appreciated guys,

EDIT: Oh yes. And tethering is also a definite plus.
