Today is the day when all SIM-free, unlocked HTC Legend smartphones receive the Froyo update. This is however for those in Europe. It was promised back in November that the HTC Legend would receive the Froyo update and just a couple weeks ago, the update began rolling out to Vodafone and Virgin Mobile in the UK.

As the HTC Legend in Europe is getting their Froyo update, another HTC smartphone is awaiting for their turn, the HTC Wildfire. HTC said that the HTC Wildfire would receive their Froyo update sometime soon as with any HTC devices launched or released this year will indeed receive the Froyo. We realize there is only about three more weeks before the end of this year, so HTC has that long to make it happen.
