Hope sum1 out there can help. Have Straight Talk srvc now & while plans are great, phone choices stink. Looking 4 prepaid carrier w/smartphone option. Best so far is TMobile's comet and found SIMPLE MOBILE who will let you pick your phone as long as its an unlocked gsm phone and if 3g supports 1700 Mhz band. Does anyone have suggestions for good prepaid carrier with pkg similar to straight talks but 1 that can use smartphone such as the comet or other smartphone with 3g, quick web surf, and options like comet's android apps, easy-sync MS outlook, google 1 touch, etc. and similar in pricing? HELP!

I was wrong most android phones will do skype the intercept is one of them. Not sure if the software cost for skype but virgin mobile will not charge extra. To find out more try to look up andriod 2.1 eclair OS virtual voice apps to find a list of whats compatible with what devices because there are more programs out there like skype. That way if you find a phone you want you can look for a compatible app like google voice ect.

    Thank you for the recommendation.
Have you ever test it with Virgin?
Do they bill extra because of the Skype?

    Hi,
What is the best Smartphone for Skype and which cell provider can do so with appropriate price?
My first intention was to take some BlackBerry from Verizon but then I red some negative review about batteries of those cells.
Could you please recommend me something.
The cell will be used in San Francisco.
