the person that had the phone befor you that you purchased it from may have just went into the setting and set the eri banner / personal banner to say cricket so it only apperars to be ready for cricket service or your su binary is outdated and need to be updated

I recently purchased a blackberry Pearl-8130 on ebay and the phone was supposed to be ready for cricket service. I called cricket and had my phone number switched over to the new phone, but when I called the number on the new phone to activate it, the phone keeps telling me the activation failed. I have called cricket and they keep telling me the phone needs flashed. But when I turn the phone on it already says cricket on the screen. So doesnt that mean the phone has been flashed? How do I get this phone to activate? Please help !
