Thank you so much for the insight, guys. I was leaning towards the Torch because of the BBM and because I was offered the device for a great price. The iPhone 4 in Egypt is really expensive but I sure know it's worth it. If I had the money, I wouldn't think twice about buying it. It definitely is the best phone in the market today.

I guess I'll be sticking with my 3GS for a while and try to come up with the money to buy the iPhone 4. Thanks!

I just got the Torch a few days ago. And, while I'm happy with the phone in general I'm returning it for the iPhone tomorrow. If you are looking for a phone with a good camera, don't bother with the Torch...it is awful! My most recent cheapo LG had a much better camera. Also, the touch screen keyboard keys are small compared to the iPhone. Easier to use the iPhone.

I also confirmed with sales rep re: Torch compatibility with a Mac. Insisted it's compatible. First try with iSync...nope. Not compatible with torch. Downloaded BlackBerry desktop software that is very glitchy. Sometimes syncs work, sometimes not. Froze up on application removals. Had to restore entire phone. Good thing I backed it up earlier today. Cannot click on all options for syncs. Extremely frustrating.

USB data not supported in my car either, so can't listen to music loaded on phone.

I do like the keyboard...will miss that. Hoping the iPhone will be better!

The decision is entirely up to you as you would know which one works for you best. If I were in your position and I were to decide for myself I'd stick with iPhone 3GS or if I have the budget I'll get an iPhone 4. By the way I already own an iPhone 4 and I bought it factory unlocked on timtechs and since I've been an iPhone user myself I can easily forget other features of competing models because I am so fond of iPhones many Apps, games and just about everything

    Dear CNET Users,

I am currently using an iPhone 3GS. I've been an iPhone user since the 3G was first released and of course I love the damn thing. I have carried many phones, including BlackBerry 8520 and 8900 but the only advantage BlackBerry phones have over the iPhone is the BBM.

I am offered a Torch 9800 and I am really interested in it. I like the slide out keyboard which seems bigger and better than the 8520's. It also has a touch screen which may well and should be a nice addition by RIM. I have never really held the Storm versions of the BlackBerry before so I wouldn't know about RIM's touch screen devices.

Things I like about the iPhone:

    Responsive touch screen

iPod Application (for the car and for working out)

    Great applications and games

Camera is QUITE good for a 3MP in both pictures and videos, especially in the morning. The BlackBerries I had had horrible cameras.

Best browser I have ever used on a phone

I might have forgot somethings but that's what is on top of my head at the moment. I'd like your opinion about this, guys. I love the BBM and it is the ONLY feature that I want the Torch for. I am not sure it is worth it, though, as I could just buy a cheap BlackBerry and use it for BBM.

Thanks a lot in advance for any information.
