Amazing technology but it just scares me to think that considering the important files and this on my phone I would be nothing if I lose it. I need my phone but I don't want to be completely reliable to it.

LG is working on an NFC based mobile payment program for Europe beginning in 2012. Jin-Yong Kim, the vice president for business solutions over at LG's Home Entertainment division had this to say:

The point-of-sale technology, which will be targeted at small and medium-sized businesses and will involve NFC or near field communications and cloud computing, is currently in beta testing.”

The LG Optimus 2x and the Optimus Black are two handsets that LG plans on implementing the new OS with the NFC capability. NFC is said to work on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread handsets and by the year 2015, 860 million handsets will be using the NFC service.
