Do you have a link for Cell Sell? Thanks!

Another thing to do is to try and get cell phones that are made of recycled materials and that come in recycled boxes. I know Sprint has a couple of cell phones that are made of about 80% recyclable material which is pretty good. Go to Sprints Recyclable Cell Phones

Does any one knows if the other carriers have cell phones like this?

good thing I don't just throw my old phone in the trash. I replace my phones quite often and I usually buy my new phones from timtechs which is also where I sell my old phones and use it to add to my budget to get a new phone.

I totally agree. The battery itself is poisonous. Here is a link that I just read today regarding the same topic. Entrepreneurs Find Gold in Used Phones - WSJ.com

If you are like most folks out there, you probably get a new cell phone about every two years. A lot of people take their old cell phones and dump them in the garbage. This is not good. This cause damage to the environment.

However there are a lot of companies out there that are putting old cell phones to good use. For instance Verizon Wireless has a program where they refurbish cell phones and donate them to domestic violence victims. Also, there are a lot of companies out there that will collect your phone and give pay you a few dollars for the old phone, which is better than putting it in the garbage.

Go here to find out about the Verizon Wireless Domestic Violence Program or to find out about recycling your old cell phone.
