Pre-orders for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for the UK are already available but the launch date is still weeks away. The launch date was said to be March 28, but we have recently found out that this has changed and is no longer true.

According to Sony Ericsson's marketing director for the UK and Ireland, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will be launched on March 31. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play will come pre-installed with six PlayStation games and will be carried by just about every UK mobile carrier as well as retailers.

Features of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play includes: Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4 inch FWVGA display, 1GHz Processor, 5MP camera, and a sliding gamepad.
