    Samsung Russia just announced that the Galaxy S Plus will be known as the Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition, which is similar is looks as that of the original Galaxy S, with the exception of the hardware and software.

    Android 2.3 Gingerbread will come pre-installed as well as a 1.4GHz CPU, 14.4 Mbps HSPA+ and a 1650 mAh battery. Other features of the Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition also includes: a 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS.

    The launch date is set for May and will be priced for 21,990 rubles.
