A new lawsuit has taken place and this time it is between Apple and Samsung. Apparently, Apple is accusing Samsung of infringing on Apple's patents and trademarks where the Galaxy devices are concerned. The Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Tab are two of the devices in question.

The suit has been filed in U.S. District Court in Northern California against Samsung by Apple Inc. Apple is seeking damages and injunction toward the patents caused by Samsung.

An Apple spokesperson had this to say, “It’s no coincidence that Samsung’s latest products look a lot like the iPhone and iPad, from the shape of the hardware to the user interface and even the packaging. This kind of blatant copying is wrong, and we need to protect Apple’s intellectual property when companies steal our ideas.”

Samsung is planning on counterclaim. A Samsung Electronics spokesman had this to say, "Though Apple is our client, it is also our rival in the mobile market. Since (Apple) sued us, taking a legal action is inevitable. We are considering a counterclaim,” said Samsung Electronics spokesperson.
