Water damaged phones are never easy to diagnose. The phone more than likely has to be taken apart and cleaned carefully with pure alcohol. If any parts have shorted out, they will need to be replaced. It's impossible to tell exactly what needs to be done without disassembling the phone.

It may be easier to get a new phone in the long run.

    Hi!

Can anyone help me about my nokia n8 unit. Accidentally the unit drops a water due to heavy rains it is inside on my bag. When I went to nokia care they told me the problem is liquid corrosion board problem and it is unrepairable and they void the warranty, for me when they told me it is board problem, before I gave them the unit, I try to put a charger to nokia n8 the unit will on and has a good display but the touch screen not working.

Can anyone give me advice if my unit can still be replaced.

    Thanks.
