It depends on your budget. All the phones today can text nowadays and almost every one of them has the ability to transfer files back and forth. Are you looking for more than just texting and calling? Samsung has good phones and so does Nokia. You have such a wide range of selection. Good luck.

I would recommend the Samsung Monte. Its a great phone.
Research it abit and you will find out.
Personally been a owner of this phone and its got great features, you can save your text messages to your memory card for instance.

My budget is about $50.00 tops a month did some calculating, and I really dont need the internet, but I do need texting, pictures etc. Im looking to spend about $200.00 or less on the phone all my friends got Iphones and I dont really know whats the difference between any. I use to have a nexttel but with the technology today that phone is yesterday.

I hear good things about Samsung, but back in the day motorola was the best now I hardly hear about them, So what a good phone to start with, Name and model, thankyou

What you need are some basic functions in current phone field. You can find tons of various models on ebay, amazon and other sites around. You search on these sites, compare features, and then pick up your favorite one. If you think it's a lit inconvenient to search on different sites, you can do this work on some comparison sites. It's much simpler.
