sorry for the late reply, epic by far has less known issues and customer complaints (from experience). Also Samsung is usually pretty good about fixing a glitch with updates than HTC. And when changing carriers CellHelp.org - Home Page is the best rate you're going to find for sure. Check it out.

Either phone you get do this as soon as you get it:
menu>settings> accounts and sync> uncheck background data , leave it this way as often as you can- when you get on the market it will prompt you to turn it back on, but this will give you an extra 2 hrs per day of use.

Next> menu>settings> display> brightness> autobrightness needs to be checked, this will gain you another hour

    You're welcome

I think the specs on the epic are better. You might want to wait for the new evo to be released on june 24th. It might bring down the prices of the older phones.

    Hello,

I'm going to be switching to Sprint soon, and I can't choose between the EVO Shift and the Epic. I love having a physical keyboard, and from looking at all their phones I've narrowed it down to those two. What should I do? What should I pick? Is there something else I should hold out for?

My contract with US Cellular runs out June 28th, so that's when I'd switch.

Any and all help is appreciated!

    Thanks!
