    First of all, Unless it is a tracfone branded phone, it will not work with tracfone.
    Secondly according to your info, you have a rant on sprint. Sprint is a CDMA network, Tracfone runs on the GSM network, and the two networks are incompatible with eachother.

    Also you can not "unlock" a CDMA handset. if you wish to use it on a different network you can have it "flashed".

    You can not "fry" your phone by unlocking it. Your phone was manufactured to work on any GSM network anyways, but once the carrier gets the phone, they lock it to their own network.
