"I'm going to be honest ..."

If you really want to be honest, you will turn the phone in at the nearest phone store (Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, whoever the carrier might be). God doesn't want you to use Him as an excuse to rationalize that which really isn't honest (e.g., see Leviticus 19:11). I appreciate the fact that you would take good care of the phone, but the bottom line is that it is not YOUR phone. In the end, you will feel better about doing the right thing (not to mention the fact that if the phone has been reported as stolen, you could get into trouble if you try to activate it).

Its probably reported lost/ stolen, and deactivacted for life.
Try to return it to the owner, or carrier.
Or sell it "bad ESN for parts only"

    Hi there,
I'm going to be honest, I was at the bar last night and i hopped in a cab to go home and i found the new Samsung Galaxy sII aT&t on the seat in the cab, which i quickly pocketed. Now I've searched online how to reset to factory settings and Ive got to the stage where i hold down the buttons and it gets to the reset screen... but when i click the reset it comes up with another pin entry screen. Now i love this phone, Ive allways wanted it and its a message from god that it just happened to stumble into my hands. Im hoping one of you could please help me to unlock this phone so I can make it my own because I would really appreciate and take care of this phone, not leave it on some cab drivers back seat. Please help me thank you!
