If you have wanted access to a local P2P network via your Android device, this is your solution. Frostwire allows you to share media files with other nearby users via a Wi-Fi connection. In order to install the program, you will need to download it and install it to your Android phone.

    • Navigate to 'Settings > Applications' on your phone.

    • Check the 'Unknown Sources' box. This will allow you to install applications not available on the Android Market. Exit your settings.

    • Open your internet browser on your Android device and navigate to frostwire.com/android.

    • Select “Download” which will begin the application download.

    • Once downloaded, open the application. Congratulations! You did it!

    Other Suggestions:

    • Navigate to 'Menu > Preferences' within the Frostwire application to choose a username or select which files you wish to share and which files are private.

    • The following file formats may be shared: WMA, OGG, MP3, PDF, DOC, TXT, AVI, MPG, GIF, PNG, JPG

    • You can chat with nearby users by selecting 'Chat'.

    • By selecting 'Search' from the top menu, you can easily find files being shared by local users.
