I think you need to set up some GSM data.maybe it's the problem of network parameter.Nokia in China is generally not fakes,at least I never seen it. you could check the phone serial number to see if it's fakes.

Hi, I have got Nokia 5230 - dual sim (bought from China, now using in Czech republic). The phone without sim is unable to call emergency service. But it shows the signal intensity. After putting 2 sims it shows 2x offline ( the signal is going up, down...).
I tried manual network selection - "registering" ... and then "failed to register". Do you have any idea where is the problem ? Also tried sim switching, only one sim in slot, changing profiles - general or others, dual and flight mode.. but no effect
Do I need to set up some GSM data, or anything else? I let the phone on the table and after maybe 20 minutes I received message and the phone was connected to network (only 1 sim), i did not how..But I could not phone on it, or send messages..etc. It did not happen anytime more - the phone is still offline and offline..
