For all the companies so far, Sprint, Verizon, most of them, the number of rings before answering is set, cannot be changed. Of course it can be changed, it was changeable in the past, they just don't make it a changeable function any more. And it is usually from 20-35 seconds. For my Droid 1 it is 35 seconds. For an iPhone it is 30 seconds. Who the heck wants to wait 35 seconds every single time they call? The cell companies basically said "We could care less about how you use your phone, or if its important to have a quick answer, everyone will wait 30 seconds before leaving a message".

Just want to know how long someone that is calling you has to wait, if you are not available and the phone is on, before it goes to voicemail. 10 seconds? 20 seconds? 40 seconds?

Didnt see a poll option but there may be one . . .
