When I open Nokia Suite and try to import contacts so I can view them, it is not possible. I can only import .vcf (vCard) contacts.

    Any suggestions?

Get the free software NBU Explorer. A number of sites have it. It will let you explore your nbu file WITHOUT a phone being connected to the computer. It will also let you export the desired information (contacts, SMS, etc.) into a format suitable for either your new phone straight away or into an intermediate format that can be used for transferring to your phone.

    Good luck.

    Thank you for responding.

When I try to open the file with Nokia Suite, only Nokia Suite starts but nothing else happens - no file is opened nor any error message shown. I have the latest version of Nokia Suite.

The easiest way would be to convert the nbu to vcf, then do the import:

    1. Right-click the NBU file.
    2. Select "Nokia PC Suite" from the "Open with" menu. This will open the NBU contacts onto your screen.
    3. Select "Export" from the File menu
    4. Select "vCard File" from the drop-down menu.
    5. Give the VCF a title in the text window.
    6. Click "Export." This will convert the contents of the NBU into a VCF file, located in the same folder.
