Ok John...thanks. I am new to texting on iPhone. Did not back up - for 3 months could not get email set up on iPhone! Finally did. A friend and I are writing a book together, and inspirations abound in our previous texting. We are sad and want to retrieve these original notes (March-May 2012). I own copyright to all things I write or send electronically, per my LLC articles of incorporation. Legally, is one thing...technically is another. Does ATT have the last 3 months of texts intact somewhere do you know? If so I will have my lawyer prepare a subpoena. If not, I say: "There is no expiration on inspiration" -LWB (published lyricist) BUT I WANT THOSE NOTES BADLY!!! :-)

You can't retrieve deleted text message unless you've previously backed them up somewhere.
